Words can't describe the satisfaction of finding this little gem in the heart of Old San Juan. Food was excellent, service 5 stars and location very convenient and easy to find. The owner Carli's plays the piano every night and make this place a very cosy and romantic. The owner carlis who plays every night was a pianist for the original Beach Boys band for 11 years. So this place can't get any better. My partner and I will definitely go back when in San Juan.
Carli and the two young musicians that played alongside him were wonderful! Our food was not only excellent, but unique, creative and elegantly plated. The server who took care of us, Christian, was genuinely sweet and perfectly attentive.
Feather boas, beautiful candelabras and the glittering ornaments that hang from the ceiling lend a playfulness to the atmosphere. The art displayed throughout the restaurant gave us a feeling for the owner's distinct and eclectic personality. We were delighted to enjoy a long and wonderfully interesting conversation with Carli at the end of our meal, a perfect end to a gorgeous night in Old San Juan, and one we will certainly never forget. ❤️
Every visit to San Juan requires a stop at Carli's. The staff is always exceptional, food is very good (four stars for the food) and the atmosphere is five star. I enjoy when Carli plays but often the visiting musicians are very entertaining as well.
